Investigations on complaint driven incidents are forwarded to the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office and the Miami-Dade Public Schools Office of Professional Standards for final disposition. The maintenance of integrity, consistency and professionalism are instilled in each investigative work product.

The Miami-Dade Schools Police Department Investigative Division was formally established in August of 2000. "A New Standard of Excellence" has been established with focus on adherence to all requirements set on local, state and federal levels. The Investigative Division works closely with local law enforcement and support agencies. We welcome productive partnerships which benefit the communities we serve.

The Investigative Division investigators and supervisory personnel are professional duly sworn law enforcement officers certified by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Specialized training in issues pertaining to juveniles, public employees and investigative procedures are provided to personnel on a continuous basis.
